A SAR 100,000 car with 20% down, SAR 80,000 financed over 60 months at a 6% term cost (an example rate — use your offer's), costs SAR 1,546.62 a month and SAR 12,797 in term cost. With the admin fee at the SAMA cap the APR is 6.42%. Over the term, with the estimated registration and transfer fees, the car costs you SAR 113,907 in all, before insurance.
Instalments on this page follow the standard monthly formula on the reducing balance. Your bank counts interest or profit day by day between the actual payment dates and rounds each amount, so its own schedule can differ slightly. Only your signed offer is binding.

Monthly steps on the reducing balance. Your lender's schedule may differ by a few riyals because of dates and rounding.
Finance, not a loan. Most Saudi consumer finance is tamweel (تمويل) rather than a loan (قرض): the lender's charge is called the term cost (profit), not interest. SAMA's rules make it behave like a loan on the reducing balance, so the same maths applies.
What SAMA's rules say about car finance
- No official minimum down payment. Saudi Arabia sets no minimum down payment for car finance; the lender decides.
- At most 60 months, on the reducing balance, with the term cost fixed for the whole term.
- Admin fee: at most 0.5% of the finance or SAR 2,500, whichever is lower, plus VAT.
- APR in every advert: adverts must show the APR, which includes every fee you cannot avoid, VAT included.
- One third of your salary: all consumer finance instalments taken from your salary plus your credit-card minimums may not exceed 33.33% of it (25% of a pension) — see how much can I borrow?.
Registration and insurance
