About this site and how it calculates (Qatar)
Updated
Why this site exists
Most loan calculators exist to collect your phone number. This one exists to answer one question honestly: what does this loan really cost?
Not a valid document. Estimate for information only — not financial advice, not an offer of credit and not a bank document. Errors are possible. Only your bank's or finance company's official offer letter, contract and statements are binding.
Who runs this site
Built by a Dubai resident since 2014 who has taken a car loan, refinanced personal loans, and taken out a mortgage and a remortgage here, each with a rate that looked lower than it was. No bank, broker or lender pays to appear on this site. Every figure links to its official source. Contact: hello@realloanrate.com
How the numbers are calculated
Every calculator uses the same engine: interest (or Islamic return) on the reducing balance, month by month — the basis the Qatar Central Bank requires banks to quote. The real yearly rate adds every fee you pay to get the loan: it is the yearly rate at which your payments repay what you actually receive. Banks work on daily balances, so their figure can differ from ours by a few riyals.
Where the rules come from
Every regulatory number comes from an official Qatari source — the Qatar Central Bank's instructions to banks, the Ministry of Justice, the Ministry of Municipality, the General Tax Authority, the National Planning Council, or the Qatar News Agency where it reports a QCB or ministry decision — and each page shows the source link and the date it was last checked. Where no official number exists, the page says so and lets you enter your own estimate.
What this site is not
It is not a bank, a finance company, a broker or financial advice. There are no affiliate links and no lead forms.
